DASH provide holiday clubs for disabled and non-disabled children and young people. The project has an inclusive ethos and works using a rights-based social model of disability approach.

Facilities are based around the Playwork Principles of play being ‘freely chosen, self-directed and intrinsically motivated’. Although freely chosen children and young people can choose to participate in structured activities such as Arts and Crafts, Construction, water fun days, sand play, messy play, Books and reading, Pets, cinema experience, Quiet / multi-sensory experience room, Songs & Rhymes, Toys and Games, Visit & Outings and computers, Wii fit, Xbox and Playstations for older children and young people. Outdoor play and activities are encourages offering stimulating, challenging and risk managed activities and opportunities. DASH believes risk in play is essential in the development of children and young people, however risk is managed using benefit versus risk, risk assessments. Other Costs
The current daily charge for a DASH play session is £60.00 per day and half day sessions will be charged at £30.00 per half day session.

We have a limited number of subsidised places available for this play scheme, which will reduce the payment to £17.00 per day or £8.50 for a half day.

We also have a limited number of taster sessions for children and young people attending DASH for the first time. Taster sessions will be charged at £5.00 per day or £2.50 for half a day. Taster sessions are limited to one day or two half day sessions per child.
