Harewood Hill Lodge

Harewood Hill Lodge is a short break service for children and young people with physical and learning disabilities. It has been judged as Good by OFSTED in their most recent inspection and continues to maintain this by their extremely high standard of care.

Harewood Hill Lodge is a purpose built detached bungalow, situated in a quiet residential area of Darlington, offering short breaks for disabled children.  They are able to provide accommodation for up to five children of either sex from 7 - 17 years.

Children are given the opportunity to be involved in age appropriate community based leisure facilities and outings are arranged on a regular basis, including trips to parks, the coast, cinema, shopping and local places of interest.

Children will enjoy a healthy and nutritious diet that meets their individual needs and takes into account allergies, likes and dislikes and any medical consideration i.e. young people who may require a liquid diet or are “peg fed”.  Cultural dishes will be available to meet cultural needs and enable all children the opportunity to live in an environment which embraces multi cultural aspects of life in Britain today.
