Mount Pleasant Primary School - Resource Base

At Mount Pleasant Primary we are an inclusive school which offers high quality education to children who have a social communication disability through a mainstream environment. Our provision can cater for up to 20 children with social communication difficulties. Children are admitted through a SEND panel process which is conducted by the Local Authority.

We have highly qualified and specialised staff within the school setting who will work to support you and your child in a provision which offers social, emotional, sensory and communication support through a mostly mainstream environment.

The level of adult support your child will be given will be determined on the level of need which is demonstrated by the child. The school however does not usually offer one to one support as this is not how the provision operates.

It is our aim and aspiration to ensure your child will leave Mount Pleasant having as many independent skills as possible and be able to function confidently alongside their peers in their secondary education.
